Applications

• Provide cost-effective service to remote outdoor areas or smaller indoor facilities, like Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and businesses in a campus environment

• Extend the DSL reach and capacity of existing Stinger® Access Systems, using the hosted platform

• Deliver Gigabit Ethernet capabilities cost-effectively, using the standalone platform with the Stinger® IP2000 control module

Features

Efficient compact design – Includes power, cooling, ventilation, protector block, cabling and thermal conditioning, with space available for a remote test set

Environmentally hardened enclosure – Enables outdoor deployment in a wide variety of locations

Thermal arrangement options – Meets known requirements for all types and combinations of DSL

Flexible mounting capabilities – Includes OSP cabinet/wall, pole and pedestal/pad mounting options which feature “add-on” field replacable mounting hardware requiring no new additional real estate.

Interoperable LIM cards – Enables the use of the same Stinger® Line Interface Module (LIM) cards used throughout the Stinger® portfolio

Gigabit Ethernet Support* – Using the Stinger® IP2000 control module, the Stinger® DSL Access Concentrator Compact Remote enables lucrative IP-based services, such as video and streaming multimedia

15-km Fiber Span** – The hosted platform uses an optical connection to a larger Stinger® controller and aggregation node and extends high-speed DSL services closer to subscribers.

Three-slot Capacity** – A single remote unit can support up to 144 ports, in increments of 48 ports.

Host Capacity** – A Stinger® host platform can support up to 6 Stinger® DSL Access Concentrator Compact Remotes per LIM slot. That enables a maximum of 8 Compact Remotes hosted by one Stinger® FS+, with up to 4156 ADSL ports.
