The Alcatel-Lucent 7300 Advanced Services Access Manager Outdoor Cabinet (ASAM-o-c) is a street cabinet with support for up to 120 DSL lines. Its packaging, power and environmental requirements are distinct from the Alcatel-Lucent 7300 ASAM. The Alcatel-Lucent 7300 ASAM-o-c is specifically designed to house the Alcatel-Lucent 7300 ASAM Compact Unit (ASAM-c), Alcatel-Lucent's mini DSLAM with full 7300 ASAM functionality.
The Alcatel-Lucent 7300 ASAM-o-c enables service providers to offer their customers higher bandwidth and more services by reducing loop length, thereby increasing the geographic coverage. As a result, service providers can reach many more potential customers, achieve ubiquitous geographic coverage with small systems, and extend the capacity of their systems at the pace of growing customer demand.
