Product Description
High speed steam flowing over tube bundles in condensers and heat exchangers
can induce tube vibration, leading to costly shutdowns.
Technos has designed an expandable stake consisting of an elasticity-memory
tube that has been deflated by a vacuum and sealed at both ends. The
stiff-ribbon shape of the deflated stake makes it effort-less to install.
After each stake is in place, the end is cut to allow the stake to slowly
expand to design shape and uniformly block the tubes in the bundle.
Installation is quick, and an effective damping system is established
throughout the entire bundle.
The fully expanded Technos stakes tightly block the tube bundle. The damping
system is 100% effective against tube vibration damage. And unlike
conventional stakes, Technos stakes will not migrate during operational
service. This fact has been proven in industrial applications after thousands
of operating hours.
