ALSTOM Power Inc. Heat Exchange is the exclusive licensee of the Advanced Direct
Contact Condenser (ADCC) for Geothermal applications. The ADCC Patent Pending
Technology has proven its performance through successful operation at the
OC-OTEC installation in Kona, HI and Rebuilt 110MW PG&E / Geysers 11
facility. The ADCC has enhanced performance characteristics over conventional
direct contact condensers that include:
- Low Liquid Side Pressure Drop
- Low Vapor Side Pressure Drop
- High Thermal Efficiency
- Minimal Degradation by Noncondensibles
- Low Susceptibility to Fouling and / or Corrosion
- Prediction of Absorption of Non Condensibles
These enhanced performance characteristics mean your installation can benefit
from:
- Lower Cooling Water Usage and / or Lower Main Condenser Pressure
- Lower Steam Consumption for Ejectors
- Lower kWe Consumption for Vacuum Pumps
- Lower H2S Abatement Costs
The ADCC has a smaller volume than conventional direct contact condensers,
providing for reduced foundation and/or building costs. Plus the ADCCO is
offered with an integral gas removal system that eliminates or reduces:
