The Britannia Vacuum Booster increases the degree of vacuum available in the Spray Drying Plant by reinforcing the action of the Vacuum Pump. The action of the steam rushing through the restricted throat of the venture tube pulls the gases out of the vacuum spray chamber and generates a degree of vacuum far greater than that achieved by a pump on its own.
