Product Name: Aero H/H+
Product Description
Aero H/H+ supports multi-channel voice, fax and data communications at
speeds up to 9.6kbps anywhere in the global (hemispherical) beams of Inmarsat's
satellites.
When an Aero H+ equipped aircraft is operating within a high-power
spotbeam (see coverage map), it receives Aero H levels of service at lower cost.
Outside the spotbeams, the terminal works with the global beam as if it were a
standard Aero H system.
Aero H supports:
- Voice encryption
- Fax at 4.8kbps
- Real-time, two-way, packet-mode data at up to 9.6kbps
- Interfaces with international X.25 and public switched telephone and data
networks
- Circuit-mode data, accommodating user-defined protocols
- ICAO-approved air traffic control and distress communications via voice
and datalink
- Acars/Aircom operational messaging.
