Product Description
Cabin and cockpit crew can use Inmarsat's voice and datalinks to
communicate with maintenance and other operational and administrative staff on
the ground.
Operational and administrative communications applications supported by
Inmarsat include:
- Aircraft Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS)
- ETA updates
- Engine data and other maintenance reporting
- Cabin provisioning reports
- Weather, NOTAM and SIGMET updates to the aircraft.
Flight attendants can also send and receive information to help
minimize inconvenience to passengers in the event of in-flight delays and
diversions, and to assist in the efficient management of the cabin.
