The Ethernet Switch 8100 (formerly Passport 8100) has been Manufactured Discontinued. Nortel recommends that customers should consider migrating to the Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 as a replacement. This product is backwards compatible with the Ethernet Switch 8100 and supports high density Power over Ethernet (802.3af) and has four times the throughput.
