It is our policy to patent all core aspects of the Medis "24/7" Power Pack and our DLFC technology, and to vigorously maintain all aspects of our intellectual property.In the field of fuel cells we have been issued 9 United States patents relating to our fuel cell technologies, 4 of which pertain to our liquid fuel. Furthermore, we have several other patents pending in the United States for our fuel cell technology, including our fuel, electrodes, cartridge system, power management system and fuel cells. Patents for components of our direct liquid fuel cell technologies have been issued in 5 other countries and applications have been filed in another 22 countries, including European states, Japan, China, Korea, Russia and India.Relating to the CellScan, we are the exclusive worldwide licensee of Bar-Ilan University's patents, patent applications and any other proprietary rights. Bar-Ilan owns, or has applied for, corresponding patents in Europe, Japan, Israel, Canada and various other countries, of which we are the licensees. We have also been issued a patent relating to our CellScan cell carrier and have filed a patent applications for our new Cell Carrier development.
