Product Description
Aircontrol Technologies has designed and supply the Liquid Conditioning Generating Unit (LCGU) and the Liquid Suit Connector Assembly (LSCA).
The LCGU houses the main components of the system, providing the fluid flow and allowing for changes in system volume. Designed as a single, compact unit, the LCGU is located in the lower equipment bay of the aircraft. A temperature regulating valve mixes hot and cold fluids to control the conditioning fluid's temperature to that selected by the crew member. The system monitors the fluid to ensure that it is circulated to the crew member within safe limits.
The LCSA comprises a Man Portion, a Seat Portion and an Aircraft Portion. It is common to all seats installed in both single and two seater aircraft. The LSCA is the interface between the LCG and the Liquid Conditioning Supply System (LCSS). The Man Portion is a self-sealing plug with hose attachments connected to the LCG. It allows single handed connection to the Seat Portion and locks on correct engagement. It can be detached manually or remotely as part of the aircraft ejection sequence. The Seat Portion accepts the mating section of the Man Portion and is mounted on each crew members seat. It embodies a solenoid-operated flow directing valve and fluid filter, also twin temperature sensors. The Aircraft Portion connects the LCSS to the Seat Portion and permits the separation of the liquid flow hoses and electrical receptacle from it as part of the aircrew ejection sequence.
