The European Court of Human Rights gives reason to CERN physicists. The complaint filed to prevent the start of LHC September 10, 2008 is dismissed.
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg had no difficulty in realizing the validity of experimental evidence showing the absence of risks arising from the possible creation of mini black holes in the LHC experiments. The complaint is dismissed Otto Rossler.
Since the inception of the Earth, collisions at energies comparable to those held at the LHC have indeed produced between the nuclei of the atmosphere and cosmic rays. In total, more than 100,000 times the expected number of collisions in the LHC operation had already struck the Earth.
This figure is at least 1020 times more important if one considers the cosmic rays falling on the stars in the observable universe, especially those that are extremely dense white dwarfs and neutron stars.
