A leading Industrial Networking products company has an immediate need for an Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Fremont, California. A BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required as well as minimum 4 years of experience with a variety of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to Design Drafting. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, and proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Solidworks or Pro-E is mandatory. A high degree of creativity and initiative are required.

If you enjoy working in a high energy environment, want to be a key member of the design team, and have solid experience in Mechanical Engineering, GarrettCom may be just the fit for you. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Services Manager, and work closely with the development team to deliver new exciting networking products. Efficiency in design, strong creative skills and a knack for industrial design are key success criteria. . 

Job Responsibilities:

·Design new networking products to meet the rigorous requirements of industrial markets. Work with design team through concept to delivery of final mechanical solutions. Designs range from simple enclosures to heat sinks, to complex multi-board configurable enclosures.

·Assist in maintaining existing product through design improvements and cost reduction activities. Work with our manufacturing team to ensure efficiency in production. Provide instrumental design solutions to pass difficult regulatory and thermal requirements.

·Evaluate products, parts, and processes for cost efficiency and reliability. Work with other members of the engineering staff to ensure that production is completed in a timely manner.

·Other responsibilities as required.
