Power, Utility and Transportation Networks

Job Description:

  • At least 2-3 years experience; Engineering Project Management and Sales with potential to transition to 100% marketing as growth permits.
  • Marketing of professional engineering services in telecommunications and automation to utilities and local government clients.
  • Initiates or assists with client development and maintenance.
  • Assumes a lead role marketing program development and initiatives, sales presentation, marketing planning, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations.

Engineering Project Management: Consults and assists primarily electric utility clients with concepts and designs of large scale telecommunications and automation systems. Also, responsible for project planning, establishment of critical project objectives, quality control, budgeting and schedules. Direct coordination with clients and internal or external resources.

Qualifications:

  • BS in electrical or civil engineering from accredited program. 10 years of engineering, engineering project management, or sales and marketing.
  • Broad knowledge of telecommunications technology and the application of technology for electric utilities.
  • A working understanding of engineering principles and processes is a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
  • PE or EIT. Consulting engineering experience preferred.

Senior Electrical Engineer Transmission & Distribution

Responsible for leading the design effort on various telecommunications projects in the electric utility and transportation market sectors. Prepare estimates and proposals. Progressive design and project management responsibilities. Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members. Meet and interact with client. Some marketing responsibilities.

Qualifications:
B.S. in electrical engineering from accredited program. 7 years related experience (completion of master''s degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience) including a minimum of 3 years experience in application of telecommunications technology to electric utility SCADA, protetective relaying, and similar substation-related uses.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

EIT. PE preferred. Consulting experience preferred.

Salary: $50 - $100k
