Responsibilities and Details
Description
In this position, you will be forecasting staff and budget requirements, and
resolving resource issue to ensure the quality of results. Your responsibilities
will include but not be limited to:
- Defining technical methods for this functional area
- Supervising the activities of employees
- Planning training and development requirements for employees, and monitor and
coach to assure adequate performance
- Managing employee performance
- Taking full responsibility for quality of results from this functional group
- Identifying all regulations applicable to work in this functional area, and
ensuring group members are properly trained
- Analyzing, defining and documenting hardware specifications based on product
requirements
- Proposing design solutions to meet specifications
- Prototyping and testing solutions
- Defining and documenting final designs
- Overseeing fabrication of hardware subsystems
- Integrating subsystems and conduct engineering tests to assess performance
- Participating in design reviews of work done by others
- Completing product documentation and submit for approvals and entry to
document control
- Providing third/fourth level technical support of products
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, or equivalent experience (two years of documented experience
for every year required to complete degree plan) plus a minimum of eight years
of documented experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Six years of leading digital circuit design experience and/or analog circuit
design
- Six years of design and development experience interfacing with manufacturing
engineers, customers, technical marketing engineers, material planners, and
program managers
- Six years of experience in schematic capture, printed circuit board layout,
and expertise with Allegro* and Cadence* design tools
- Documented experience in the following areas: Understanding and adherence to
the QS regulation in Part 820 of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
or understanding and adherence to the quality requirements noted in ISO 13485
- Four years of experience managing third party (outsourced) design resources
- Six years of experience with IA schematic capture
- Six years of experience with IA component layout/placement
- Six years of experience with IA Motherboard routing
- Six years of experience with Cadence* design tools
- Six years of experience with Allegro* design tools
- Six years of experience of Circuit prototyping
- Six years of experience with electrical circuit empirical measurements
- Six years of experience with circuit debug
- Six years of experience conducting peer design reviews
