Essential Job Description:

You will design, develop, and maintain embedded software systems for music products used by musicians worldwide. Collaborate daily with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, product developers, and other embedded engineer teammates. Learn how to design multi-processor embedded systems that meet our unique real-time audio processing requirements. Program embedded microprocessors, such as 8051s, ARM7/9s, Freescale 56K, and SHARC families of processors, in Assembler and C/C++. Write quality code; debug and troubleshoot algorithms; analyze and document embedded systems; contribute to product definition and design; work hard with a dedicated team to meet deadlines; learn from senior engineers; and enjoy your creative development with motivated people.

Experience/Qualifications:

- B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience required.
- 1-3 years of direct experience in embedded systems development.
- Experience developing audio systems or products, at work or at home, is a plus.
- Knowledge of system design, analysis and implementation techniques.
- Proven ability to write high-quality embedded software meeting real-time constraints.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting digital systems.
- Experience using a range of system and software development tools.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.

Skills Required:

- Ability to program in Assembler, C/C++ for embedded microprocessors.
- Appreciation of audio system performance.
- Must work well in medium group size.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
- Musical background a plus.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Must effectively communicate with a diversity of individuals both inside and outside of the company.
