Founders Federal Credit Union, a member owned financial cooperative
with over $1 billion in assets, has an immediate opening as a Network
Telecommunication Engineer in the IT department located in Lancaster, South
Carolina (just south of Charlotte, NC). The individual will report to the
Network Telecommunication Group, and will be supporting a large WAN environment.
Responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting daily operations of the
data communication network including Avaya server, switches and routers. The
Network Telecommunications Engineer will implement VOIP, POE and assist with
problem determination and resolution. The successful candidate will conduct
on-going network system audits and assist in assessing and applying operating
system and application updates, fixes and patches. Assistance with implementing
networked applications and ensuring network security is also required.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in CS (or equivalent work
experience) as well as four years work experience in supporting the acquisition,
configuration, installation and troubleshooting of Avaya media gateways, Avaya
ACD Programming, S8700/G650 IP Connect Architecture and Avaya VOIP, IP Station
setup and programming, Voicemail setup, WAN routing modules and LAN/WAN
topologies. Proficiency in the following technologies is also desired: Windows
Active Directory, Exchange 2007, Citrix Presentation Server and Network
infrastructure, SNMP, TCP/IP, Mobile messaging and VERITAS Netbackup. The
individual should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the
ability to communicate effectively with individuals both locally and in remote
locations.
