    We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Greater Binghamton, NY area. Responsibilities include:

    Position Highlights:
    Researches, develops, designs, evaluates, tests and documents electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical components, products and systems, applying principles and techniques of electronic and electrical engineering and design for manufacturability.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications:
    1. Designs electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical circuits and integrated systems, utilizing appropriate technologies.
    2. Develops testing criteria and assists in the design of test apparatus.
    3. May direct field operations and maintenance of electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical products and upgrades.
    4. Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
    5. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
    6. Evaluates machines or products on manufacturing floor for system related problems and recommends or implements corrective action.
    7. Applies quality techniques to the design/development and manufacturing process.
    8. Participates in design review to increase design confidence level and reduce cycle time.
    9. Acts as lead engineer; may act as project director.
    10. Develops design, functional and test specifications for electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical products to meet market specifications.
    11. Discusses machine problems and solutions with customer.
    12. Identifies, evaluates, selects and procures vendor products and services through the purchasing organization.
    13. Establishes and monitors development schedules and project cost.
    14. Researches and analyzes electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical features of customer design proposals to determine feasibility and cost of design or application.

    Requirements:
    Must have current work authorization in the United States for any employer.

    BS in Electrical Engineering OR a BT and two years of experience OR a relevant Associate's Degree and 5-7 years of electrical design experience OR a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

    Capable of acting as the Lead Electrical Engineer on medium and large scale projects.

    Must be able to use test equipment including Oscilloscopes and Multi-Meters.

    Preferred experience with EMC Testing/Certification, Cable Design, Chassis Design, Pro-E, Creating Machine Level Schematics and knowledge of Safety Systems.

    Experience with VHDL, Board Level hardware design is a plus.
