We blend engineering, management and technology resources to produce an impressive array of highly reliable, multi-mode Radar and IFF systems for maritime, littoral and over land missions. Our product line includes: airborne maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare imaging radar systems (SAR/ISAR); weather avoidance and search and rescue radars; secondary surveillance radars (AWACS). Radar Systems is gaining an ever-increasing share of the markets it serves for its military, para-military, commercial and international customer base.

    Brief Summary: Telephonics provides the a unique opportunity to work with a world-class engineering staff that includes recognized experts in both the Radar and IFF areas, working on leading edge technology and with state of the art tools. The lead system engineer at Telephonics is responsible for the entire life cycle design and meeting the technical requirements of the project. The lead systems engineer would be responsible for the following areas: Development of Systems Requirements and parsing them out to the individual disciplines, Development of Overall System architecture, Radar/IFF Mode Design, Performance Analysis using tools such as Matlab, System Design Definition and Documentation, Participating in staff design reviews insuring that supporting disciplines meet system requirements, Generation of Test and Integration methodology and documentation, Customer Interface, and Field Testing

    Requirements
    Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics Engineering plus 10+ years related experience. Must have experience in generation of systems design documentation, SRS’s, HRS’s, and prime item development specifications. Functional knowledge of Radar system elements (i.e. antennas, receivers, transmitters, and processors) is required. Desired experience includes Radar, DOORS and Matlab database knowledge, system test, and integration. Excellent analytical and communications skills are required. Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance, which includes US citizenship.
