ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in a team environment with members of the QA-Product Surveillance
group on achieving team metrics requirements.
Ensure timely, accurate and complete failure investigations of product
complaints leading to root cause and corrective/preventive action.
Perform trend analysis and identify trends.
Organize/lead a cross functional team to help identify problem issue and
drive product improvement process.
Provide support to the new product development and risk management
process, performing FMEA and reliability testing.
Work with all product, manufacturing and quality teams to determine root
cause and to ensure proper corrective actions have been identified,
implemented and verified to be effective.
Participate in the Product Surveillance Review Board presenting complaint
trends and recommendations for corrective action and product improvement.
Participate in continuous improvement and process re-engineering projects
as required in support of Stryker Orthopaedic's continuous improvement
initiatives.
Participate in special projects and perform other miscellaneous duties as
required.
Perform engineering analysis as required to determine root cause and
corrective action.
Attend job pertinent training classes as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must be a positive, energetic team player, and an advocate for product
excellence and quality.
Candidate should be results oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner,
respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of
meeting deadlines.
Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office Excel, Word
and Power Point.
EDUCATION:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical or BioMedical Engineering required/3+ years
experience conducting failure investigations and/or performing failure
analysis leading to root cause and corrective action; performing FMEA analysis
and reliability testing.
