This position may be filled at the entry level to senior level depending on
the qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or
Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program. Experience with Navy
or similar complex electrical power generation, distribution, power factor
analysis and protection schemes, general lighting and special purpose lighting
preferred. The successful candidate will collect and analyze technical data
for design studies, prepare layouts and specifications, review design
proposals and drawings, develop technical specifications, and analyze and
resolve design and production issues in the areas of power
generation/distribution and lighting schemes/calculations. Technical writing
and customer relations skills are essential. May require the ability to
physically access a wide variety of work sites, including those aboard ships
under various stages of construction or overhaul, including the use of
vertical and inclined ladders, and may involve limited kneeling, stooping,
standing, etc. May require the ability to obtain and retain a DOD security
clearance. Multiple positions available.
