ASML is seeking an accomplished Mechatronics Engineer to join the Reticle
Positioning Group, a division of ASML’s Mechatronics and Measurement
Department in Wilton CT.
Job Responsibilities:
• Derives requirements, analyzes options, and drives module level decisions
• Documents system functionality and plans and performs tests to verify
performance
• Architects a module from high level requirements which generates mechanical
and system models that ultimately lead the team to an optimal mechatronic
design
• Works on X,Y stage design, actively controlled optics and or robotics
• Works with designers from supporting engineering disciplines in order to
converge on an overall design solution
• Travels approximately 10% to Europe and within the US

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum MS in engineering with an emphasis on mechatronic system design and
analysis and systems engineering
• 2-5 year of industry experience required
• Team leadership abilities required
• Strong communicative skills with a commitment to achieving results on time
• Direct experience in the design and test of mechatronic systems preferably
in the area of lithography or semiconductor equipment
• Ability to identify primary technical needs from complex issues and derive
needed requirements
• Demonstrated team player with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills
• Requires skills in mechatronics, robotics, systems engineering and software,
all specific to ASML products
• Experience in leading a technical team, or the desire to grow into such a
leadership position is required
• CAD, MATLAB, FEA, Thermal and other modeling tools (Preferably at least two
of the above)
• Ability to interface with multidisciplinary groups and work effectively in a
team environment
• Willingness to take on responsibility, follow through, and keep multiple
simultaneous assignments on schedule
• Ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge from documentation and
on-the-job training
• Capability to thoroughly investigate technical issues (analytically and
hands-on in a lab)
• Willingness to own the integrated systems performance and work from
beginning to end to deliver the right design at the right time
• Ability to travel is required
