JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of tasks to support environmental projects. Anticipated responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support engineering project managers in scoping, applying for and obtaining environmental permits to construct an expansion to a petroleum processing facility.
  • Assisting in preparation of water-related permit applications for the processing facility.
  • Performing field work in support of permitting projects during construction.
  • Frequent interactions with clientele and attendance at client meetings.
  • Possible interactions with the Regulatory Agencies.
  • May manage tasks or projects of small or moderate scope and complexity involving his/her technical expertise.
  • Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Occasional travel to the field is expected.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 to 15 years experience in environmental compliance and permitting for the oil and gas industry (emphasis on water-related permitting preferred).
  • BS (minimum) or MS in environmental science, engineering, geology or related field.

    Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills required; you will be asked to submit a writing sample to demonstrate your capability in this area.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to manage budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment.
  • Project management/report writing experience required.
  • OSHA Hazwoper 40-hour training a plus. / gj-hh
