JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of tasks to support environmental projects. Anticipated responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Support engineering project managers in scoping, applying for and obtaining environmental permits to construct an expansion to a petroleum processing facility.

Assisting in preparation of water-related permit applications for the processing facility.

Performing field work in support of permitting projects during construction.

Frequent interactions with clientele and attendance at client meetings.

Possible interactions with the Regulatory Agencies.

May manage tasks or projects of small or moderate scope and complexity involving his/her technical expertise.

Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Occasional travel to the field is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:

10 to 15 years experience in environmental compliance and permitting for the oil and gas industry (emphasis on water-related permitting preferred).

BS (minimum) or MS in environmental science, engineering, geology or related field.

Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills required; you will be asked to submit a writing sample to demonstrate your capability in this area.

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Ability to manage budget and schedule with minimal supervision.

Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment.

Project management/report writing experience required.

OSHA Hazwoper 40-hour training a plus. / gj-hh
