Our client is part of a global company that provides
design and management services in the transportation, facilities and
environmental markets through a family of operating companies. Through the
combined efforts of almost 20,000 people, our client offers a unique blend of
global reach, local knowledge, innovation and technical excellence. Their local
office Specializes in Transit/Rail, Highways and Bridges, Marine, Airports, and
Energy Infrastructure. With the demand for quality staff on the rise, they are
currently seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer for their Los Angeles
location.
Job Requirements
Candidates should possess the following knowledge:
A bachelor's degreed, California PE licensed engineer with and at least 10 years
of progressive experience in structural engineering design and construction
support services. Possession of a Structural Engineering license in California
will be a plus. The ideal candidate must also have the following qualifications:
• Minimum BSCE Degreed, with an emphasis in structures. A MS Degree in
Structures is preferred.
• California Registered Professional Engineer in structures preferred
• Extensive knowledge and experience in design and construction of transit
projects.
• Experience in underground concrete construction, concrete and structural steel
design, construction support services, including shop drawings review and
answering RFI’s
• Ability to lead and represent the Company in meetings with the client. Good
communicate skills are a must
• Ability to follow established design and construction procedures and the
flexibility of changing design parameters
• Preparing plans and performing work with minimal guidance
• Coordinating work of engineers, draftsmen, technicians, and others who assist
in specific assignments
• Ability to effectively communicate information in the form of technical
reports.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to analyze problems and
develop strategies for efficient project completion
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Thorough knowledge of ACI code and excellent detailing skills
