Qimonda North America is looking for an outstanding Equipment Engineer to
join our team in Richmond (Sandston) Virginia. As an Defect Inspection Equipment
Engineer in our Technology Department your responsibilities will include but are
not limited to designing, testing and implementing equipment improvements and
modifications, monitoring and improving equipment reliability, availability,
throughput and cost of ownership. If you are dedicated to both personal and

Education Requirements:
BS in appropriate Engineering discipline
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years equipment engineering experience
Additional Experience Preferred:
Familiar with KLA and AMAT inspection tools
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and schedule preventative maintenance on defect inspection equipment
Trouble shoot and maintain the defect inspection tool set
Write and update tool specifications as needed.
Assist tool owners with defect inspection equipment upgrades
Maintain complete records in area of all scheduled maintenance events
Attend all required departmental training
Monitor and improve equipment reliability, availability, throughput, and
cost of ownership
Design, test, and implement equipment improvements and modifications
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems. Define and implement solutions
Create operation manuals/documents for maintenance procedures and
specifications
Act as a technical resource to build knowledge in the defect inspection
equipment maintenance team
Order and modify consumable and spare parts. Identify and evaluate second
source parts suppliers
Lead and/or facilitate cross-functional work teams and meetings related to
defect inspection equipment
Demonstrate a strong, self-motivated work ethic
Represent QNA in dealings with equipment vendors
Develop CRB Presentations for QR2 defect inspection equipment
purchases/modifications
Work with Facilities and Vendor to manage installation/modification to QR2
defect inspection equipment
Manage shipment of QR2 defect inspection equipment related items (Parts,
Equipment, Upgrades)
Coordinate and Manage Vendor Service and Application Contracts.
