Data Link, a nationwide, multi-vender computer service company is currently
seeking a highly-experienced Technical Support Engineer.
Must have extensive experience trouble-shooting and isolating complex hardware
and software failures in large-scale HP 9000 computer systems including but
not limited to: K-class, T-class, N-class and Superdome. Job entails providing
remote and on-site tier III technical support to our customers. In addition,
candidate will be responsible for building and managing test systems in our
lab for the purpose of replicating problems and testing spare parts.
Candidate must provide 24x7 support on a rotating schedule.
Knowledge and experience on other large-scale platforms such as SUN, NCR,
Compaq and Tandem is a big plus.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience servicing and
supporting large-scale computer systems in a 24x7 environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate both written and verbal.
- Maintain knowledge and meet SLA requirements per contract.
- Maintain Service Call productivity.
- Able to communicate upwards to top management as necessary regarding process
and updates.
