Electrical Service Engineer

Metro New York and New Jersey area

A candidate for this position should possess experience in the electrical power field service industry. You must have previous experience with acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, design, and modification of Low, Medium and High Voltage systems. In addition to the above technical qualifications, the successful candidate will be instrumental in the development of business opportunities in the metro NY/NJ Industrial, Utility, Government, and Institutional markets.

Candidate should possess an aggressive work attitude along with the ability to maintain a customer base with minimal supervision. The incumbent must be capable of assigning and managing projects to junior engineers and must be recognized as a technical expert in the engineering field. 5 years equivalent POWER DISTRIBUTION field experience in servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical power distribution equipment is required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering field is required.

Lead Powers Systems Automation Engineer

Eastern US ( Raleigh, NC, Philadelphia, PA, Metro New York, Baltimore, MD, Pittsburgh, PA or any surrounding major markets)

A candidate should possess application knowledge & experience specific to power & energy management systems: Utility/Powerhouse operation (Primarily on the electrical generation side); Load shedding and load management systems; Experience with paralleling and transfer switchgear and protective relaying schemes; Generator control systems, including unit level controls on steam, diesel and gas-fired turbines; Station level / supervisory generator control including synchronization, islanding and parallel operation with both other generators and the utility; Power system engineering including system protection and control; Must be able to design complex PLC based control systems; Utility billing practices and tariffs; Power Monitoring and Power Quality; Relay ladder logic with the ability to develop control algorithms for electrical power equipment systems.

A candidate that has experience with Power Monitoring software platforms will be considered a plus. This position requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7-10 years of relevant experience. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills to work with our geographically dispersed team. Applicant must have experience interacting with the direct customer on a technical basis. Applicant must be able and willing to work at customer sites, including industrial plants, which may require climbing, working in confined spaces and other unusual work environments. There is geographic flexibility with regard to the location of this position.
