Structural Engineer Job -> Leading supplier for power plants for manned and unmanned aircraft is seeking a Structural Engineer with a minimum 5 years experience in the gas turbine industry with emphasis in structural/mechanical analysis. The qualified candidate will have a B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering. Must have working knowledge of ANSYS standards, Unigraphics NX3, bearing & seals theory, and rotating systems along with Structural/mechanical analysis. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus. Candidate will be responsible for performing structural/mechanical dynamic analysis, which includes shaft critical speeds and unbalance response, engine model analysis, blade disk stress and environmental shock response, sine, random response, transient and steady state thermal analysis, elastic and inelastic stress analysis, fracture mechanics, low cycle fatigue and high cycle fatigue analysis on gas turbine engines.
