We are leading the revolutionary change to a world without wires by extending wireless echnology into Service Enabled Devices providing seamless network access, enabling web services such as music & picture access, management, and diagnostics. Essential to the success of these technologies and the services that they enable is quality and an effective Quality Assurance team.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in the expanding web services and wireless access field, and the creation of new services for the multitude of wireless devices. You will contribute in defining our SQA strategy, creating dynamic tests and probes of our web services and Internet-connected wireless devices.

You will be responsible for measuring and monitoring the quality of software and a hosted server site, for planning and executing effective tests and for automating your tests utilizing our established automation framework. This position reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:
* Develop test plans and test cases
* Review software and web-site design documents and provide feedback to SW engineers
* Execute test cases in given time schedule
* Report test results and provide recommendations
* Reproduce customer problems and verify fixes
* Automate test cases using Winrunner or Segue Silk, and TCL
* Design and maintain laboratory environments
* Participate in defining and enhancing SQA strategy & processes
 

Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of testing hosted server environments through web interfaces, including
automating tests using Winrunner/Loadrunner or Segue Silk, and other tools
* Understanding of databases, web-server operation, and network security
 

Preferred:

* Experience with performance testing and testing of consumer Windows devices
* Understanding of embedded software and operating systems (Windows Mobile, WinCE, Linux)
* Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and VLANs
* Ability to design and execute effective tests that probe the product and find meaningful bugs
* Strong programming abilities in TCL or other scripting language
* Familiar with basic HW and computer design concepts
* Solid understanding of QA processes and software development lifecycle
* Strong problem solving skills. Ability and desire to drive issues to completion
* Self-starter; ability to work effectively and learn new technologies with minimal supervision
* Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to look at the SW design and functionality from customer's perspective
* Knowledgeable, and preferably a user of one or more current web-based services such as iTunes, Skype, Gizmo, IM, Slingbox etc.
* A user of Wi-Fi
 

Experience:

* 3+ years hands-on experience in testing web-based hosted services, preferably for a consumer-facing web site
* 2+ years automating tests for a standing automated regression suite
* BSCS/BSEE or equivalent. MSCS/MSEE is a plus
* Some experience working directly with customers is a plus
