This opportunity is with a Global industry leader in the research and development, design and manufacture of highly engineered products for niche industrial markets. Our client company plays a very significant role in providing essential engineered components and providing comprehensive solutions to target economic improvement for industries worldwide. The Senior Structural Engineer position will be located in Tulsa, OK.

The Sr. Structural Engineer position is a Sr. level position that will lead by expertise in the inspection, analysis, design, plan and research of structural components and systems. This position will focus on the technical, economic and environmental concerns of the company and closely work with the Engineering Divisions and other related divisions dealing with implementation and design. Able to work within all codes and guidelines set forth.

Responsibilities:

• Structural Engineering design for piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, stacks, derricks, etc.
• Review and approve drawings representing design intent.
• Review and interpret customer specifications as applicable to structural engineering function.
• Perform consulting on matters of structural engineering, codes and standards, fabrication techniques, metallurgy, NDE, and design concepts.
   

Desired Qualifications:

• B.S. Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of structural engineering design experience within refinery, petrochemical or related industries.
• Minimum of 7 years in structural engineering design of combustion equipment used in refinery or petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, AISC codes and standards. Familiar with industry standard design software (STAAD, CAESARS, FEPIPE, COMPRESS).
• Preferred M.S. or PHD in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
