SUMMARY:  Perform electrical design work on projects including safety and quality aspects of the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Estimate engineering, material and labor.
• Perform field work during scope phase of the project.
• Design lighting, power and grounding for chemical plants, power generation plants, commercial buildings, warehouses, office buildings, etc.
• Prepare sketches for designers and drafters for engineering packages for client review, bid, construction.
• Field-follow construction phase of project.
• Check packages during design phase and prior to construction issue.
• Equipment specs
• Perform engineering calculations for voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit analysis, etc. for all electrical systems.
• Design protective relays for coordination with upstream and downstream systems.
