Requirements:

|
Architect, design and develop
software for device drivers and real-time operating system support
for an integrated digital video Set-Top Box design. Work with
other members of a software development team, and with members of
hardware design, systems integration and test/quality assurance
teams. Provide development and integration support to customers
using the Set-Top Box ASIC, involving device driver modification
and other system integration tasks. Participate in software design
review, code walks and other software quality improvement tasks.
Experience working with Linux in a development and target/embedded
OS environment. Must be familiar with kernel development and user
space APIs (C Library, posix, etc?). This includes understanding
components and concepts such as virtual addressing, page tables,
memory management units, context switching, interrupt handling,
message passing, task synchronization, and file systems. Familiar
with administering a Linux system in-so-far as it is relevant to
embedded Linux development. This includes setting up TCP/IP, NFS
exports, CIFS/Samba, etc. Candidate should be able to debug both
user and kernel components in an embedded Linux system.
Qualifications:
8-10 or more years of C and assembly language programming.
Programming experience in an embedded systems environment.
Programming in a Real-Time Operating systems environment. Relevant
experience in set-top box technologies is a must. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. |
