Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

You will be a member of a small (1-6) multi-disciplinary team, responsible for
developing FPGAs and digital hardware for advanced wireless communications products.
Typical designs will include a microprocessor, FPGA, RAM, FLASH, A/D and D/A
converters, voltage regulators, glue and interface logic. You will perform the
following aspects of FPGA and digital circuit design: regular interaction with
customers, requirements analysis, specification, architecture, coding, test bench
design, verification, synthesis and FPGA place and route. You will also perform
additional hardware engineering tasks including design, component selection,
schematic entry, requirements analysis, specification, architecture, design,
FPGA/CPLD design, and validation of the entire product. Working in a small project
team, you will work closely with software developers. You will have a hands-on roll
in product integration and debugging. You must be a results-oriented problem-solver
who requires minimal supervision.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as
required by government contract.
Applicant should be familiar with digital circuit and FPGA design using VHDL or
Verilog . Candidate will design and debug digital hardware circuits using
oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. Experience with the following EDA tools is a
plus: HDL Designer, Modelsim, Exemplar synthesis, Xilinx ISE, Altera Quartus II,
Actel Designer, Matlab/Simulink, ClearCase. Schematic capture experience using Mentor
Graphics' Design Architect and real-time embedded software skills are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a team
environment are required.
