Summary of Position:
This position, Design Verification Engineer, is considered a technical position, where the candidate would be responsible for the design verification of specific modules in one of our Imaging Products portfolio.
The position involves architecture and micro-architecture spec review, creation and maintenance of detailed testplans, Verilog RTL coding of testbench and transactors, writing and modifying golden models in c and c++ for generating expect results for hardware blocks, writing tests as a mixture of c code for the embedded processor as well as stimulus from the transactors and automated running and checking with perl scripts and make files, unit level verification, chip level verification, and code coverage analysis and review of modules in our Image Processor Chip.
The hardware team designs video processing products to interface directly to the DPS CMOS Imaging Sensors, for specific markets and strategically-important customers.
These designs use a mix of 3rd party IP and internally-designed functions.
Products developed include video camera applications primarily intended for the security camera market.
The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of design verification on successful silicon for products that have been shipped in high volume production.

Knowledge and Skills:
It would be beneficial if the person has experience in any of the following areas:
--RISC Microprocessors
--Imaging (cameras, scanners, compression)
--Video Standards and devices (NTSC/PAL, LCD)
--Pixel Processing Theory (filtering, gamma correction)
--Sensor Technology (CCDs/CMOS sensors)
--Compression technology (JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG, H.264)
--Programming (C, assembler, PERL) --HDL Design (Verilog)
--Verification -specific language such as Vera, System C
--Simulation interfacing
--Perl Sockets, PLI
--MSc, BSEE or equivalent
--3+ years experience
