• Define the customer experience for all mobile applications; work with platform provider to create mobile versions of new and existing web applications.
• Understand customer needs, as well as business and functional requirements. Work closely with the product management and user research teams to define product requirements.
• Create detailed design and functional specifications (storyboards, workflows, mockups, prototypes, specifications) that effectively communicate the information design and interaction design. Work with user researchers to gather data on the designs and iterate.
• Collaborate with visual designers, content strategists and engineering teams to implement your designs.
• Establish the company's best practices and style guides for mobile applications

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in interactive design for mobile devices. Experience working on e-commerce, web or software products Experience working on web or software products would also be beneficial
• Demonstrated experience and portfolio of mobile device application interface designs
• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of user interface design; should have experience working through the entire product life cycle, and be familiar with user-centered design methods
• Knowledgeable of best practices of all major best of breed mobile interfaces
• A blend of big picture design ideas with detail orientation, and an obsession for consistency
• Logical, analytical thinking
• Good understanding of benefits and constraints of current mobile technologies
• Familiarity with WML, WAP, HTML and XHTML interactions and technologies
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field or equivalent work experience. Masters or other advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proficiency with Omnigraffle, InDesign, Office and Acrobat
• Clear, organized writing, communication, and presentation skills
