Responsibilities:
· As an on-site expert, a process engineer will:
· Assist the plant in initiatives to improve the tire manufacturing process.
· Conduct feasibility type studies (ex. Evaluate tire building technology for
use in multiple plants)
· Provide technical assistance to manufacturing facility as it industrializes
new technology.
· Apply technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with production
quality problems.
· Respond to day-to-day quality issues
· Develop new processes on existing equipment
· Complete projects with a mid- to long-term focus
Requirements:
· BS degree in a technical field, preferably ME (mechanical),ChemE (chemical
engineering), or chemistry (Chem).
. 2-3 years of industrial experience
· Self-motivated, hands-on attitude
· Willingness to work in manufacturing environment
· Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications
· Open to relocation to any of the listed US facilities.
Training Requirements:
After reporting to work in Tuscaloosa, AL, the employee will complete a 3 months
training program in Anderson, SC at our Sandy Springs plant (semi-finished),
then return to Tuscaloosa to begin the job assignment.
EDUCATION
REQUIRED:
Engineering Degree; ME.
