| Department Description |
The Platform Engineering team is responsible for the cross-platform
application framework that enables Good Mobile Messaging suite of
applications on a number of operating systems and wireless devices. You
will be responsible for extending the cross-platform application framework
for porting it to next generation Windows Mobile wireless devices and
supporting software released to the field.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
* Integrate and port Good Mobile Messaging client software on to next generation
Windows Mobile wireless devices
* As technical contact to device manufacturers, define requirements, debug and
solve problems, and lead discussions
* Assist in scoping projects and in the creating schedules
* Review and prepare technical and project planning related documentation
*Visit device vendors and Good's offshore teams when needed ^^
Specific Knowledge/Skills
* Minimum 5 years of development experience
* Proficient in C and C++, object oriented design and programming,
multi-threaded programming, and sockets programming
* Prior experience developing on Windows Mobile and Widows CE
* Solid understanding of operating systems (scheduling, inter-process
communication, memory management, file system, networking, etc.)
* Prior experience leading small to medium sized teams and teams that are
geographically distributed
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Versatile and a problem solver with excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work independently and on multiple projects concurrently
* Willingness to travel (~10%), primarily within the U.S. and to Europe
