This position reports to the Sr. Director of Precision Electronics. This
position will participate in market group activities while being directly
responsible for the Precision Electronics Market Technical Support.
Requires continued development and use of shock vibration and noise control
engineering skills to meet identified market and product needs through a broad
array of dynamic and mechanical design and testing techniques.
In support of sales and marketing, this position provides engineering design
assistance, educational information, and training to sales personnel, sales
reps, and present/prospective customers in the basic application of mechanical
energy control products. You'll participate in joint sales calls here.
Engineer will also provide design, development and verification of noise,
vibration and shock control packages for electronic applications in equipment
and devices in a laboratory of field testing.
Travel is approximately 40% here.
Requirements:
. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
. Three plus years experience/project work in shock vibration and noise
control methods
. Experience with single and dual channel FFT and digital filter analyzers,
measurement transducers (microphones, accelerometers, force gauges, etc.)
. Experience with conditioning amplifiers, vibration shaker systems, digital
oscilloscopes, and other standard electronic laboratory equipment.
. Possess and in-depth knowledge of current plastics fabrication, molding and
manufacturing techniques used in the electronic industry
. Proficient in CAD and data management techniques
