Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop analog, RF and digital circuits & systems from concept to volume manufacture.
    Design and develop a variety of UHF/microwave antennas for both readers and tags from concept to volume manufacturing.
    Work with outside labs to obtain NRTL, FCC, foreign nation and other certifications for a variety of RFID Systems
    Prepare, review and approve design documentation.
    Validate product performance to specification
    Provide clear reports of results and conclusion in oral and written form
    Sustain exist products and respond to Customer technical inquiries.
    Program management of product level projects
    Attend meetings and support company on technical boards and committees around the world regarding standards and protocols and other RF communication issues.
    Mentor RFID design teams to turn research activities into working systems.
    Work with upper management to turn design ideas into IP and Patents.
    Assist with steering the strategic direction of the RFID Division.

    Specialized Skills:
     
  • RF design and development including UHF/microwave combining antenna design, strip-line, microstrip, RF sources, amplifiers, switches, mixers, modulators, demodulators, filters and analog design into reader products meeting exacting specifications.
    Schematic entry, definition of layout constraints, hands on debug of complex RF/Analog/Digital designs and design validation of electrical, mechanical, environmental, protocol and regulatory requirements.
    Ability to lead Analog/RF/Digital product projects and mentor junior staff.
    Ability to work in a Team based environment and adapt style as appropriate to maximize success.
    Good oral and written communications skills.
    Strong knowledge of test and measurement equipment including: Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and other RF test equipment. Experience with MWO and ViewLogic a plus. FPGA and CPLD experience a plus.
    Strong knowledge of modeling of radio systems is desired.
