Required Qualifications:

• Advanced MicroStation and AutoCAD skills
• Ability to think and visualize in three dimensions
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment plant design
• Familiar with treatment equipment and processes
• Possesses basic knowledge of mechanical and civil engineering fundamentals including pumping systems, utilities, and street and drainage design
• Familiar with construction methods for plants, utilities, lift stations, and paving
• Efficient and highly productive in setting up, creating and plotting drawings for mechanical and piping systems, utilities, storm sewers and streets
• Has considerable working experience in preparing and assembling plans and specifications for municipal type projects
• Experience in coordinating with other disciplines in project design (structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical/instrumentation)
• 8 + years of experience.
• High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

• Applicant must possess the ability to assist other designers in the design and detailing of various components of paving, drainage and utility projects.
• Applicant should possess good problem solving skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
• Perform primarily non-routine assignments with supervision by staff engineers.
• Exhibit initiative and independence on day-to-day activities.
• Have the ability to coordinate with and supervise other designers.
