Position Description:
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Working on the latest board designs and development of evaluation platforms and
reference designs for digital set top box products. Must be able to carry a
project through from conception, design, fabrication, debug, and working
prototypes. Able to act as a lead for projects and demonstrate initiative. Work
with other IC design and test engineers throughout the scope of the project.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years experience with the design of PCBs at the component level.
Schematic design, supervision of PCB layout activity, board debug experience,
and use of logic analyzers and oscilloscopes are essential skills. Prior
experience with high speed PCB design is important. Analog Audio/Video or RF
experience is highly desirable. Signal integrity expertise is desirable.
Experience with satellite and/or cable set-top box architecture, MPEG, embedded
CPUs, DDR memory interfaces, video, audio, graphics and various peripherals such
as Serial-ATA, USB 2.0, Ethernet, and 1394 is desirable. The individual will
work within a large design team so good communication and documentation skills
are required. Some international and domestic travel may be required (<15%).
