Job Summary:The Systems Engineer (SE) provides pre-sales technical support to the Sales Force and customers. The SE makes pre-sales calls on prospective clients, participates in local and regional seminars, and acts as the technical account manager for customers.

Requirements:·

5-8 Years as an SE in the storage, networking or HPC market · Excellent written and verbal communications skills · Able to talk about technical subjects and deliver technical presentations to a wide array of audiences with both technical and non-technical backgrounds. · Able to transfer knowledge to customers and VAR's. · Desire to learn new technologies and enjoy doing “hands-on” work with technology and other relevant technologies. · Posses various personal traits like excellent inter-personal skills, high energy, flexible, self motivated, trustworthy, friendly and dependable and has excellent follow through skills. · Experience with various operating systems including Linux, UNIX (AIX, SUN) · Understanding of storage protocols such as NFS, FCP & iSCSI · Experience with Oracle, ClearCase, EDA tools, Rendering and Energy Applications a plus Essential Functions:· Systems Engineer (SE) provides pre-sales technical support to Sales Reps (SR) and customers. · SE and SR work in tandem to formulate account strategies. · Makes pre-sales calls on prospective clients, participates in local and regional seminars, and acts as the technical account manager for customers. · Focal point for customer evaluations and demos. · Expected to stay abreast of current industry technology, trends, and competition. · Will spend a considerable amount of time talking in front of customers in small (round table) discussions as well as large (seminar) audiences. · Wll work in tandem with the SR(s) in fulfilling sales goals and responding to RFI/RFPs. · May act as a focal point in case of a technical post-sales escalation for current customers. Some travel will be required. · Should be self-motivated, able to work well with multiple sales reps, and be creative in obtaining information and solving problems. Education:· 5+ years of industry experience, BS/BA in CS/EE highly desired
