Principal Software Quality Engineer The main purpose of this job is to mentor project teams to improve their project management, development, and change management processes and audit compliance to established processes. Responsibilities include training the teams to use a tailored version of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and other tools in effective ways, facilitating workshops and reviews, auditing compliance to processes and objectives, and recommending improvements to the tools and processes.

Position Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
· Minimum of 8 years software development/project management experience in an Engineering environment. Commercial product development preferred.
· Experience with Rational Unified Process (RUP)
· Experience with UML
· Excellent oral and written communication skills

The following experience/ knowledge is highly desirable:
Facilitation skills
Experience with peer reviews and inspections processes
Knowledge of Software metrics.
Experience with process implementation and roll-out.
Experience with ClearCase and ClearQuest

PMP certification
Experience with agile methodologies
