Primary responsibilities:
The Test Engineer will be part of a team tasked with designing and developing tests and test documentation/procedures for the Titan Joint Range Extension (JRE) Gateway and related systems. The JRE Gateway is a multi-protocol router of Link 16 tactical data that provides beyond line-of-sight connectivity and extended situational awareness for the USAF, the USMC, and other Government customers.
The Test Engineer will perform analysis of software execution using requirements, test procedures and design documentation as basis and conduct hands-on testing, software problem reporting, and the evaluation and formal reporting of test results. The engineer is responsible for generating, knowing and validating system requirement specifications and Test Plans and Procedures for all assigned software modules. Also as part of their testing efforts, the engineer will: Validate the resolution of Discrepancy and Software Problem Reports against applicable software modules and requirement specifications; Write Discrepancy Reports (DR) detailing software and requirement deficiencies; Interact with functional and technical counterparts to ensure software modules meet all requirement specifications; and Regression test all software problem reports to ensure code modifications were properly applied to the software baseline.

Qualified candidates will possess a BS degree or have at least 6 years of software testing experience.

Link 16 (MIL-STD-6016) (MIL-STD-6020), VMF (MIL-STD-6017) or other tactical datalinks.
Experience with JTIDS or MIDS terminals and terminal interface protocols (MIL-STD-1553B or X.25).
General C4ISR system testing experience.
Joint Range Extension protocols (S-TADIL-J, MIL-STD-3011).
Military SATCOM (DAMA, UHF, EHF).
Experience with Military LOS and SATCOM radios (PRC-117, PSC-5).
Experience with CMMI.

Education and Experience:
Qualified candidates will possess a BS degree in related field. Will accept equivalent combination of education, experience & training.
1-2 years software testing experience. Experience with military software testing including test and test documentaion development. Experience with testing relative to military commun ications. Must be familiar with US military command and communication control systems. Recent test experience with Mil-STD-3011 Standard and MIL-STD-3011 over SATCOM considered a plus. Demonstrated flexibility with work hours during busy testing periods.

Position will require at least 25% travel both domestically and internationally.

Position requires an active Secret level clearance.
