Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
This position will include the processing and preparation of North America
Region Sample requests which include communicating with requesters, sample pour
ups, inputting Celtis blends, blending additive packages, submitting samples for
analysis, interpreting results, and generating Certificates of Analyses.
Position is responsible for maintaining daily inventory records of all drums at
LOB, logging in all incoming samples and helping to maintain patio inventory. It
also includes daily processing of Celtis shipping papers, blending up to 5
gallons as scheduled, doing sample pour ups, running kinematic viscosity and
cold crank simulations, adjusting formulations to meet specifications, analyzing
base oils, maintaining a clean safe work area, and providing back up to blend
scheduler and quality control infrared spectroscopy analyst.
Basic Qualifications:
- H/S diploma or equivalent required.
- This is a Safety Sensitive position. Must be able to maintain a clean
compliant work area by adherence to safety policies and safe lab practices. Must
be able to lift/pour 40-50 pound 5 gallon cans to remove product for blending or
sampling.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience using mainframe languages is desired.
- Lab experience: General lab experience is desired. Position will prepare
lubricant and additive blends up to 5 gallons using standard lab equipment
measuring results with analytical tests. This position provides Quality Control
IR Analysis back up. Knowledge of additives and lubes is desired.
