Position Description:
Work closely with design engineers in the layout, physical design and
verification of RF, analog and mixed signal integrated circuits for wireless
consumer electronic products. Create and modify integrated circuits layouts and
generate tape-out data sets.
Qualifications:
Experience in the layout of integrated circuits including the ability to place
and route active and passive devices.
Must be able to plan the placement of major circuit components in an overall
physical design
Must understand semiconductor processes like GaAs HBT and pHEMT processes and
how the physical layout can effect circuit performance of circuits like power
amplifiers, switches and other devices.
Be able to perform layout vs. schematic (LVS) and design rule checks using the
Calibre verification tool
Must be able to read electrical schematics and netlists
Coordinate the release of mask sets with foundry personnel and designers
Four years or more of layout design experience using Cadence tools and related
experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
