Entry level opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and proposing new test methodologies that will be required for testing Symmetrix Disk Adapter microcode and disk drives. The candidate will convert the proposed methodologies to test plans and test cases that can be used by all members of the group. This individual will also be responsible for identifying corner case scenarios and to develop and execute negative test cases and test scripts accordingly. Other types of testing responsibilities will include feature and regression testing of new and existing functionality, testing and verification of code fixes as well as recreating complex customer issues.

This person will also develop and modify test cases for new and existing functionality as well as be an active participant in the formulation of test plans and strategies, primarily on the DMX product. Regression and feature testing responsibilities include all areas of Disk Adapter functionality. These include drive replacement procedures, disk adapter failover procedures, drive scans, drive code loads, error injection and negative testing.

Experience and Education

The successful candidate will posses strong analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work as a team player is essential. Working knowledge of Unix or PC based systems is required. This position requires a person with a BS or Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
