Description
Plan and coordinate Microwave Modules/Trims through the assembly and test process, and the identification and resolution of manufacturing problems. Work with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build. Provide cost estimates for new and existing business. Report at program monthly cost reviews on performance, ETC, and explain variances. Take corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary. Maintain and report on shop metrics (unit hours, cycle time, on time deliveries, DPU). Work with both shop and program personnel for continuous improvement. Establish daily CFM goals for each program that support program deliveries. Attend daily CFM meetings to review shop performance and take necessary action to resolve barriers impacting shop from meeting CFM goals. Budget and manage overhead expenses. Take corrective action as required to control expenses. Support factory tours. Directly supervise manufacturing support staff. Attend and support program weekly status meetings.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Basic
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering (BSIE)
- Ability to get a DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience in Six Sigma and Continuous Flow Manufacturing
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in planning and executing operations.
- Understand shop-load requirements to ensure that adequate resources (space,
people, and equipment) are available to sustain production build schedules.
- Experience interfacing with a variety of personnel at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership for teaching skills to others.
- Problem solving skills.
- Understanding of materials and statistical process controls.
- Organizational skills in operations.
- Experience in capacity analysis, shop-loading, and staffing.
- Must have worked in a manufacturing team environment..
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
- 10+ years microwave manufacturing experience
- Defense industry experience
- Experience in estimating and proposals.
- Experience with MRP.
- Experience with Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Enthusiastic, aggressive, self starting with strong people skills
- Ability to multi-task. Innovative.
- Intermediate level experience using MS Office software
