Job Description :
REPORTS TO: EES Division Manager, US Peroxide, LLC
I. Purpose of Position
The position provides engineering leadership for US Peroxide system design
requirements. The position shall focus on design validation and
standardization of USP equipment systems, ensuring that each system is
thoroughly documented with design standards, system bill of materials and
standard operating procedures. The position will be an integral part of
company equipment development efforts with primary design responsibility,
design standardization and fabrication quality control. The position works
closely with the current engineering and project management team to ensure
project equipment requirements are designed and fabricated to required
standards. The position provides leadership and works closely with the USP
fabrication shop for system fabrication and equipment quality control. The
position requires the ability to lead and influence engineering initiatives
for mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines.
The position supports and manages commercial initiatives either through
engineering support or project management. The position will work with other
team members for monitor/controller integration.
II. Key Responsibilities
The position requires responsibilities as below.
· Chemical dose system design standardization and validation
· System documentation and standard procedure development
· Multifunctional engineering expertise (mechanical, electrical, controls)
· Fabrication shop support
· Project coordination and management working directly with customer
representatives and the USP program team for project implementation
· Provides support for field service technicians for new account commissioning
and service of existing accounts
· Supports system integration and interface with customer mechanical or
control systems
· Participates with Business Development as part of USP Value Proposition
III. Relationships
· Reporting Manager – EES Division Manager
· Position Reports – no direct reports.
· Indirect Functional Direction – leadership and direction of USP Shop, Field
Service Technicians and Contract Personnel
· Internal Working Relationships
EES Manager, EES Project Managers, FSTs, Business Development Management and
Program Managers, Applications Manager; Regional Managers; Logistics;
Marketing.
· External Working Relationships
Critical Equipment Supplier Management, Key Client Technical Personnel,
Municipal Utility Department Managers, Superintendents Operations and
Maintenance Personnel, Plant Managers; Consulting Engineers, Trojan Technology
Development Team.
IV. Measures of Performance
· System standardization, validation and documentation
· Fabrication, installation and operation procedures completed for all units
· Project execution to budget and schedule
· Equipment system performance and operational reliability
· Employee/staff performance and development.
V. Background and Skill
· B.S. Degree or greater in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
discipline.
· Minimum of 10 to 12 years work related experience in chemical system
engineering and project management. .
· A Profession Engineering Certification required or attainable.
· Multi-engineering discipline competency (mechanical, electrical, controls)
· Must have PLC programming and troubleshooting capability
· Strong leadership skills and decision making ability.
· Strong interpersonal skills required
· Technical proficiency related to multiple chemicals with specific respect to
safe handling and system design requirements.
· Auto-Cad competency
· In-depth understanding of US Peroxide business model (value added),
development methodologies and competitive landscape
