OVERVIEW
The Fullerton Facility creates a unique opportunity to develop leaders and
continually improve processes. This is a great opportunity for the successful
candidate to work as a Maintenance Supervisor with high visibility and

SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of maintenance department in processing
materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing
the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
Provides expertise and work to all operation maintenance to improve equipment
effectiveness though meantime failure analysis, root cause analysis and
general troubleshooting, operation maintenance and set-up of production
equipment.
Initiates and implements preventive maintenance work for equipment in
accordance with the manufacturers and company guidelines.
Provides technical leadership in project management and insures compliance
with company policies and procedures.
Actively participates in receiving and installing of all production equipment
and company initiatives.
Works closely with Operations Management in set-up, scheduling, and planning
all maintenance and repair.
Assists and supports the development and implementation of a long-term
maintenance strategy to improve equipment reliability.
Assess maintenance and equipment performance and develops a predictive and
proactive plan.
Identifies and anticipates major repairs, replacements and capital projects to
insure improvement and continuous operations.
Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Maintenance
Manager for action.
Responsible for completion of department's training: ensures all employees
receive the necessary initial and refresher trainings. Ensures new and
transferred employees receive appropriate department- or equipment specific
training.
Actively participates on the Accident Investigation Team, investigating and
documenting incidents within 24 hours and communicating to the appropriate
personnel/groups.
Participates on the Emergency Response Team, and has received appropriate
first aid and CPR training and practice.
Actively participates on a KSRMP safety team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 8-10 employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, preferred; one
to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to speak Spanish is a definite advantage.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights and weekends as a
permanent shift.
Other Qualifications:
Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects,
Safety and Security.
Learn and understand all ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the
position; raise questions and concerns with the appropriate company personnel
if compliance and ethical issues arise.
