Description
The position is in the Intelligent Network Engineering team. Group is responsible for all IN triggered services and nodes that deliver USSD notifications. The candidate will be assisting senior engineers in network designs, formulating test instructions for certification of new IN services, features and/or upgrades and lead production rollouts for FOA and network expansion. The position requires strong analytical and technical writing competence as well as effective interpersonal skills working with vendors and cross functional groups in the company.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop test instructions for lab certification of new IN services,
features and/or upgrades and IOT.
· Lead production rollouts & deployment for FOA and network expansion
· Ensure documentation is accurate and update as required beyond FOA.
· Ensure GMR process is followed
· Maintain accurate documentation for, system parameters, engineering
guidelines, HW and SW levels, Spares, link utilizations, CIQ, connectivity
diagrams and maintain consistent node configurations for the entire network.
· Interact with Product Development with their initiatives and requirements in
meeting the company's business objectives and goals. Work with IT to define new
interface specification
Secondary Responsibilities:
Liaise with the vendors for deployment of new and sustaining releases.
Answer questions and serve as the point of contact for internal customers
(Billing, provisioning. operations, regions, market etc.)
Participate in the accurate planning and forecasting of these nodes in
conjunction with the NCP work stream.
Requirements:
The candidate should be familiar with the SCP, SDP, CCN, BGW in particular
and the GSM architecture in general and aware of these node functions
Knowledge and experience with Nortel, Ericsson, Nokia and Alcatel/Spatial is an
advantage
Understanding of SS7 protocols such as INAP, CAMEL, and MAP as well as SIP.
Monitor the performance of the IN nodes for capacity, high availability and
provide periodic recommendations for optimization.
Familiarity with IP networks and protocols such as Diameter, LDAP etc.
Lead vendor relations
Experience:
2 or more years of experience with GSM core network and 4+ in wireless
Education:
Bachelors or Masters in EE, CS or related field or relevant combination of
experience and education.
